A two-station type color image forming apparatus of the present invention
includes intermediate members configured to support only a developing
device or the developing device and an image forming device other than an
image carrier. The intermediate members are selectively locked to or
unlocked from the body of the image forming apparatus. Members
constituting the image forming device each can be simply replaced alone at
the end of their individual useful life.
