The present invention provides an anti-oxidant composition comprising a
cyclic compound having formula I or a derivative thereof, wherein R.sup.1
and R.sup.2 are indepednetly selected from --OH, .dbd.O, wherein R.sup.3
is a substituent comprising an --OH group; and wherein R.sup.4 and R.sup.5
are other than H; with the proviso that the compound is other than
ascorbic acid.
Die anwesende Erfindung liefert einen Antioxidansaufbau, der ein zyklisches zusammengesetztes enthält, Formel I oder eine Ableitung davon habend, worin R.sup.1 und R.sup.2 indepednetly von --OH vorgewählt werden, dbd.O, worin R.sup.3 ein Substituent ist, der eine --OH Gruppe enthält; und worin R.sup.4 und R.sup.5 anders als H sind; mit der Bedingung daß das Mittel anders als Ascorbinsäure ist.
