A dentrifice comprising granules consisting essentially of calcium
carbonate particles, the granules having an average size of 50 to 500 um
and a crushing resistance of 1 to 20 g/granule, and the calcium carbonate
particles having a primary particle size of 0.01 to 0.5 um.
