Processes for hydrocyanation of nonconjugated aliphatic monoolefins or monoolefins conjugated to an ester group utilizing a catalyst precursor composition comprising an unsymmetrical bidentate phosphite ligand and zero-valent nickel, preferably in the presence of a Lewis acid promoter, to produce a terminal organo-nitrile. Catalyst precursor compositions are also disclosed.

Os processos para o hydrocyanation de monoolefins aliphatic nonconjugated ou de monoolefins conjugated a um grupo do ester que utiliza uma composição do precursor do catalizador que compreende um ligand unsymmetrical do phosphite do bidentate e niquelar zero-valent, preferivelmente na presença de um promoter ácido de Lewis, para produzir um organo-organo-nitrile terminal.
