A home entertainment system comprises a sub-system with audio/video functionalities, a computer and a device interface that interconnects the sub-system and the computer. The computer controls the sub-system through a software application The computer and the sub-system have separate user-controls. In case the computer crashes, the user can still control those audio/video functionalities of the sub-system that are independent of the computer.

Un sistema domestico di intrattenimento contiene un sottosistema con le funzionalità di audio/video, un calcolatore e un'interfaccia di dispositivo che collega il sottosistema ed il calcolatore. I comandi di calcolatore il sottosistema con un'applicazione del software il calcolatore ed il sottosistema hanno utente-controlli separati. Nel caso il calcolatore si arresta, l'utente può ancora controllare quelle funzionalità di audio/video del sottosistema che sono indipendente dal calcolatore.
