A steel tube material, which has a composition constituted by, in mass percent, C: 0.15 to 0.40%, Si: 0.05 to 0.50%, Mn: 0.30 to 2.00%, Al: 0.01 to 0.10%, Ti: 0.001 to 0.04%, B: 0.0005 to 0.0050%, and N: 0.0010 to 0.0100% with Ti and N satisfying (N/14)<(Ti/47.9).
