The control section 101 has a detection function for detecting a page having a peculiar image from image data, a display function for causing a display section 106a to display an image of the detected peculiar page, and a delete function for deleting the peculiar page based on input from a user. The control section 101 has a skip mode for, with a use of these functions, detecting a peculiar page to determine whether or not the peculiar page is deleted based on an instruction from the user.
