Organosilicon compounds having units of the formula R.sub.dX.sub.eSiY.sub.(4-d-e)/2 (I), where X is OH or a hydrolyzable radical and Y is a divalent hydrolyzable radical are useful in crosslinkable compositions, in particular in compositions crosslinkable via a condensation reaction, preferably as sealing compounds.
