The present invention relates to the use as perfuming ingredient of a compound of formula ##STR00001## wherein R represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl or ethyl group, and R.sup.1 represents (i) a (Me)(R.sup.2)C.dbd.C(R.sup.3) group, R.sup.2 representing a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R.sup.3 representing a methyl or ethyl group, or (ii) a phenyl group optionally substituted by one or two methyl groups; as well as to the compositions or articles associated with these compounds.
