The communication apparatus is provided with an attribute information acquiring part to acquire other party's attribute information that indicates an attribute of the other party's apparatus, from a call connection message that is exchanged with the other party's apparatus in a predetermined call connection procedure carried out prior to a start of the real-time network facsimile communication, and a communication control part to control the real-time network facsimile communication depending on contents of the other party's attribute information acquired by the attribute information acquiring part.
