Compounds are provided which have the structure of Formula (I): wherein R is hydrogen or C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl; and each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is independently hydrogen, C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl, halo or C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkoxy, and salts thereof, which compounds are useful as antidiabetic, hypolipidemic, and antiobesity agents.
