The present invention relates to a composition for lowering blood glucose, which contains a polyphenol extracted, isolated, and purified from green tea, and calcium, as active ingredients. The inventive composition shows a synergistic blood glucose-lowering effect by the green tea polyphenol and the calcium, and thus will be useful for diabetic patients.
