The subject invention includes methods and devices for separating at least
two constituents of a highly aqueous fluid. The subject methods include
contacting a highly aqueous fluid with a stationary phase having a low
density hydrophobic bonded phase under conditions to separate at least
two constituents. Also provided are systems that include a stationary
phase having a low density hydrophobic bonded phase, a highly aqueous
fluid comprising at least two constituents and a device configured to
perform liquid chromatography. Kits for use in practicing the subject
methods are also provided.
