A new and distinct cultivar of Poinsettia plant named `Eckalger`, characterized by its uniform, upright and mounded plant habit; strong stems; dark green-colored leaves; inflorescences with bright red-colored flower bracts that are slightly twisting; mid-season flowering; and excellent post-production longevity.
