In a first method embodiment, the first method is characterized by accepting user input identifying at least two different names for a substantially similar grouping of one or more medical criteria; and accepting user input specifying at least one of the at least two different names as forming at least a part of an outpatient-inpatient standardized nomenclature for the substantially similar grouping of one or more medical criteria. In a second method embodiment, the second method is characterized by accepting either outpatient or inpatient data to commonly accessible storage. In one or more various embodiments, related systems include but are not limited to circuitry and/or programming for effecting the foregoing-referenced method embodiments; the circuitry and/or programming can be virtually any combination of hardware, software, and/or firmware configured to effect the foregoing-referenced method embodiments depending upon the design choices of the system designer.
