In accordance with the present invention, the cable/radio broadcasting signal and the auxiliary image and audio signals inputted to the television are converted into the digital image data and audio data, encoded and stored according to the user's selection. The stored digital image data and audio data are outputted in form of the analog still image and audio. Accordingly, the television can convert the displayed and outputted image and audio into the digital data, store and reproduce the digital data without requiring an additional apparatus.
