The invention relates to novel monoazo compounds of formula (1), wherein R represents
H or Cl, M2+ represents Ca2+ or SR2+ and Y1=H
and Y2=SO3-; or Y1=SO3-;
and Y2=H. The compounds of formula (1) are characterized by their high
drying power and high light-fastness.
