The invention provides a method of using pregnadienones and pregnadienols
represented by the structural formula (I) as shown herein below

Wherein X.dbd.OH or O or combination thereof and positioning of olefinic
bonds are at 4(5); 5(6); 16(17); 17(20) or various combinations and said
compounds containing at least one olefinic bond in or on their D-ring for
the treatment of hyperlipidemic and hyperglycemic conditions in mammals,
said method comprising administering an effective amount of the said
compounds to the recipient mammals.
L'invenzione fornisce un metodo di usando i pregnadienones e pregnadienols rappresentati dalla formula strutturale (i) come indicato qui sotto il ## del ## STR1 in cui X.dbd.OH o la O o la combinazione di ciò e posizionare dei legami olefinici sono a 4(5); 5(6); 16(17); 17(20) o varie combinazioni e detti residui che contengono almeno un legame olefinico in o su loro anello a "D" per il trattamento delle circostanze iperlipidiche e hyperglycemic nei mammiferi, metodo detto che contiene amministrando una quantità efficace dei residui detti ai mammiferi recettivi.
