An active type of display panel arranged with light-emitting elements such
as organic electroluminescent elements, capable of effecting correct tonal
display even during a long-time use, a display device using the display
panel and a method of driving the display panel. In each of pixel portions
on the display panel, a driving element is activated according to a data
signal, to supply a light-emitting element with a drive current in an
amount corresponding to the data signal. The data signal is corrected such
that the drive current becomes equal to a current corresponding to a
light-emitting luminance represented by the data signal.
