The invention provides cyclodextrin derivatives that may be used to
transport hydrophobic molecules for pharmaceutical or cosmetic
applications, by forming organised systems in an aqueous medium, alone or
with phospholipids. The cyclodextrin derivatives of the present invention
have the formula:

in which, R.sup.1 represents a steroid, R.sup.2 represents an alkyl or aryl
group, substituted if applicable, R.sup.3 represents H or R.sup.2, all the
R.sup.4 represent OR.sup.2, or one of the R.sup.4 represents
--NHCO(CH.sub.2).sub.m CONHR.sup.1, m is an integer ranging from 1 to 8,
and n is equal to 5, 6 or 7.
L'invention fournit les dérivés de cyclodextrine qui peuvent être employés pour transporter les molécules hydrophobes pour des applications pharmaceutiques ou cosmétiques, en formant les systèmes organisés dans un moyen aqueux, seulement ou avec des phospholipides. Les dérivés de cyclodextrine de la présente invention ont la formule : ## du ## STR1 dans ce que, R.sup.1 représente un stéroïde, R.sup.2 représente un alkylique ou le groupe arylique, substitué si c'est approprié, R.sup.3 représente H ou R.sup.2, tout le R.sup.4 représente OR.sup.2, ou un du R.sup.4 représente -- NHCO(CH.sub.2).sub.m CONHR.sup.1, m est un nombre entier s'étendant de 1 à 8, et n est égal à 5, à 6 ou à 7.
