The present invention provides a resin composition which comprises EVOH
and a thermoplastic resin other than EVOH and which generates less odor
and therefore is suitable for food packaging applications. The invention
also provides an environmentally friendly method for producing a resin
composition, without releasing any carboxylic acid such as acetic acid to
the peripheral environment. A resin composition containing less
carboxylate group is obtained by contacting an ethylene-vinyl alcohol
copolymer resin with an aqueous solution containing both carbon dioxide
gas and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of an
alkali metal salt (A) and a boron compound (B) and then melt kneading
with a thermoplastic resin (G) other than EVOH.
La présente invention fournit une composition en résine qui comporte EVOH et une résine thermoplastique autre qu'evoh et qui produit moins d'odeur et convient donc aux applications de conditionnement des aliments. L'invention fournit également une méthode dans l'environnement amicale pour produire une composition en résine, sans libérer n'importe quel acide carboxylique tel que l'acide acétique à l'environnement périphérique. Une composition en résine contenant moins de groupe de carboxylate est obtenue en entrant en contact avec une résine de copolymère d'alcool de éthylène-vinyle avec un soluté contenant le gaz d'anhydride carbonique et au moins un additif choisis dans le groupe d'un sel alcalin (a) et d'un composé de bore (b) et puis fond le malaxage avec de la résine thermoplastique (G) autre qu'evoh.
