There is provided compounds of formula I,

wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.x, Y, n and B have meanings given
in the description which are useful as competitive inhibitors of
trypsin-like proteases, such as thrombin, and in particular in the
treatment of conditions where inhibition of thrombin is required (e.g.
thrombosis) or as anticoagulants.
Il y a les composés fournis de la formule I, ## du ## STR1 où R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.x, Y, n et B ont des significations données dans la description qui sont utiles en tant qu'inhibiteurs concurrentiels de trypsine-comme des protéases, telles que la thrombine, et en particulier dans le traitement des conditions où l'inhibition de la thrombine est exigée (par exemple thrombose) ou comme anticoagulants.
