A new and distinct cultivar of Calathea plant named `Tanja`, characterized
by its upright and broad outwardly spreading growth habit; broadly ovate
leaf shape; upper leaf surfaces grayed green in color with dark
green-colored margins; and lower leaf surfaces dark purple in color.
