A hearing device has a shell, an electric/acoustic transducer, and
electronics within the shell. One end of the shell constitutes the
acoustic output to the ear and further includes a compartment at the other
end of the shell. A module is removably introduced into the compartment
and includes a battery and a voltage regulator. The voltage regulator has
an input operationally connected to the battery and has an output in
electric contact with the electronics.
