A fluorescence instrument illuminates the surface of tissue with light of a
selected wavelength and light emanating from the tissue due to
fluorescence is collected. The size of the effective
illumination/collection aperture is varied to probe at various depths
beneath the surface of the tissue for a fluorescence layer. Three
embodiments of the instrument are described.
Uno strumento di fluorescenza illumina la superficie del tessuto con luce di una lunghezza d'onda selezionata e la luce che emana dal tessuto dovuto la fluorescenza è raccolta. Il formato dell'apertura efficace di illumination/collection è variato alla sonda alle varie profondità sotto la superficie del tessuto per uno strato di fluorescenza.
