Nitrogen-containing heterocyclic carboxamide derivatives represented by the
following general formula:

wherein ring A is a substituted or unsubstituted pyrazine, pyrimidine,
pyridazine or triazine ring; R.sup.1 is O or OH; R.sup.2 is a hydrogen
atom, an acyl group or a substituted or unsubstituted carbamoylalkyl or
carboxyalkyl group; and the broken line represents a single bond or a
double bond; or salts thereof are useful for preventing and treating virus
infections and especially influenza virus infections.
Nitrogenhaltige heterozyklische Karboxamidableitungen dargestellt durch die folgende allgemeine Formel: ## STR1 ## worin Ring A ein ersetzter oder nicht ersetzter Pyrazin-, Pyrimidin-, Pyridazin- oder Triazinring ist; R.sup.1 ist O oder OH-; R.sup.2 ist ein Wasserstoffatom, eine Acylgruppe oder eine ersetzte oder nicht ersetzte carbamoylalkyl oder carboxyalkyl Gruppe; und die defekte Linie stellt eine einzelne Bindung oder eine Doppelbindung dar; oder Salze davon sind für das Verhindern und das Behandeln von von Virusinfektion und besonders von von Grippevirusinfektion nützlich.
