A dental resin composition is disclosed, comprising a
polycarbonate-modified diphenoxy diacrylate having a monomer structure
(I):

wherein R is CH.sub.3 or H; b is one or zero; A is (CH.sub.2).sub.n O; n is
an integer from 1 to 10, preferably from 1 to 5; X is an alkoxy or
cycloalkoxy group having from one to six carbon atoms, for example,
2,2-propylene or --CH.sub.2 --, or --S-- or --O--; i is 1 or 0; and
wherein M is --(C.sub.1-10 alkyl)O--, --(CH.sub.2).sub.p O--, or
--CH(CH.sub.3)CH.sub.2 O--, m is an integer from 1 to 10, and p is an
integer from 1 to 4. Preferably, R is methyl. The composition and
described filler material are suitable for use in dental restorations, and
provide improved wear resistance and other properties.

La composition et le matériau de remplissage décrit conviennent pour l'usage dans des restaurations dentaires, et fournissent la résistance à l'usure améliorée et d'autres propriétés.
