The present invention relates to an artificial leather having nap very
little oriented on the surface and having short fibers densely, and hence
having a good nubuck-like look and hand, and also relates to a production
process thereof. The present invention provides an artificial leather
having a nap surface of ultra-fine fibers at least on one side, which is
formed by applying an elastic polymer to an ultra-fine fiber-entangled
substrate, characterized by being 0.3 g/cm.sup.3 or more in the apparent
density of the artificial leather, being 0.5 mm or less in the nap length,
and being 25% or less in the R value obtained from the goniometric
reflectance distribution measured with the nap surface rotated from 0
degree to 180 degrees using a goniophotometer. The present invention also
provides a process for producing a nubuck-like artificial leather, in
which a sheet obtained by applying an elastic polymer to an ultra-fine
fiber-entangled substrate is raised to produce a napped sheet, comprising
the steps of applying an elastic polymer to an ultra-fine fiber-entangled
substrate, substantially solidifying the elastic polymer, immersing the
polymer-deposited fiber-entangled substrate into a swelling agent of the
elastic polymer, to swell the elastic polymer, compressing the sheet in
the normal direction of the sheet, removing the swelling agent by an
aqueous solvent, and raising the sheet at least on one side.
La actual invención se relaciona con un cuero artificial que tiene siesta muy poco orientada en la superficie y que tiene fibras cortas denso, y por lo tanto teniendo un bueno nubuck-como mirada y la mano, y también se relaciona con un proceso de producción de eso. La actual invención proporciona un cuero artificial que tiene una superficie de la siesta de fibras ultra-finas por lo menos en un lado, que es formado aplicando un polímero elástico a un substrato fibra-enredado ultra-fino, caracterizado estando 0.3 g/cm.sup.3 o más en la densidad evidente del cuero artificial, siendo 0.5 milímetro o menos en la longitud de la siesta, y estando el 25% o menos en el valor de R obtenido de la distribución goniometric de la reflexión medida de la superficie de la siesta rotada a partir de 0 grados a 180 grados usando un goniophotometer. La actual invención también proporciona un proceso para producir a nubuck-como el cuero artificial, en el cual una hoja obtenida aplicando un polímero elástico a un substrato fibra-enredado ultra-fino es levantada para producir una hoja napped, abarcando los pasos de aplicar un polímero elástico a un substrato fibra-enredado ultra-fino, substancialmente solidificando el polímero elástico, sumergiendo el substrato fibra-enredado poli'mero-depositado en un agente de hinchazón del polímero elástico, para hinchar el polímero elástico, comprimiendo la hoja en la dirección normal de la hoja, quitando el agente de hinchazón por un solvente acuoso, y levantando la hoja por lo menos en un lado.
