The present invention relates to certain spirooxindole derivatives and to
pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which exhibit good analgesic
properties and are effective in the treatment of chronic pain. The
derivatives have the structure of formula I:

Ar is benzene or pyridine;
X is NHCO--; --CONH--; or --NH--SO.sub.2 --;
Y is a single bond; and
Z is --CH.dbd.CHCH.sub.2.
La actual invención se relaciona con ciertos derivados del spirooxindole y con las sales farmacéutico aceptables de eso, que exhiben buenas características analgésicas y son eficaces en el tratamiento del dolor crónico. Los derivados tienen la estructura del fórmula I: ## del ## STR1 en donde: Ar es benceno o pyridine; X es el --; de NHCO -- --; del conh o -- NH -- SO.sub.2 el --; Y es un solo enlace; y Z es -- CH.dbd.CHCH.sub.2.
