The present invention pertains to a method for controlling the foaming of a
waterborne composition or an industrial process by the incorporation of a
foam controlling agent. The method comprises utilizing as the foam
controlling agent a compound of the formula:
HOR.sub.1 R.sub.3 C--[CH.sub.2 ].sub.n --CR.sub.2 R.sub.4 OH
R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently selected from the group of alkyl
radicals having from 3 to 6 carbon atoms. R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are
independently alkyl radicals having from 1 to 2 carbon atoms. n is an
integer from 1 to 6. The compound generates an initial (t=0 min.) or a
final (t=10 min.) foamed density at least 30% greater than that of a 0.5
wt % aqueous solution of a 12 mole ethoxylate of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.15
primary alcohol (C.sub.12 -C.sub.15 E.sub.12) when added at 0.2 wt % to
the C.sub.12 -C.sub.15 E.sub.12 solution. The present invention also
pertains to an aqueous composition comprising the foam controlling agent.
Die anwesende Erfindung betrifft eine Methode für das Steuern des Schäumens eines mit Wasserspülung Aufbaus oder des industriellen Prozesses durch die Gesellschaftsgründung eines steuernden Mittels des Schaumgummis. Die Methode enthält das Verwenden als das steuernde Mittel des Schaumgummis eines Mittels der Formel: HOR.sub.1 R.sub.3 C -- [CH.sub.2 ].sub.n -- CR.sub.2 R.sub.4 OH- R.sub.1 und R.sub.2 werden unabhängig von der Gruppe der Alkylradikale vorgewählt, die von 3 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatome haben. R.sub.3 und R.sub.4 sind unabhängig die Alkylradikale, die von 1 bis 2 Kohlenstoffatome haben. n ist eine Ganzzahl von 1 bis 6. Das Mittel erzeugt ein Ausgangs (t=0 Minuten.) oder ein abschließendes (t=10 Minute.) geschäumte Dichte 30% mindestens, das von einem wässeriger Lösung 0.5 Gewicht % einer Mole von 12 grösser als das ist, äthoxylieren von einem C.sub.12 - Primärspiritus C.sub.15 (C.sub.12 - C.sub.15 E.sub.12), wenn Sie bei 0.2 Gewicht % dem C.sub.12 - C.sub.15 E.sub.12 Lösung hinzugefügt werden. Die anwesende Erfindung betrifft auch einen wäßrigen Aufbau, der das steuernde Mittel des Schaumgummis enthält.
