An extruded polycarbonate article suitable as an energy absorber is
disclosed. The article includes a plurality of honeycomb chambers that are
aligned substantially in the same direction, extend in the direction of
the extrusion and are disposed adjacent to one another. A method of using
the article entails aligning the honeycomb chambers in a direction
parallel to the direction of the impact energy.
