PatentAlert is designed as information sharing system for scientists and other specialists. It benefits from reusing postings for more than one subscrber if subscribers have same interests.

Subscriptions that use an/ or in/ keywords (assignee subsciptions) are considered too narrow to be of interest to more than one subscriber, yet they create effectively same amount of work that PatentAlert needs to do.
