It has been over five years since Patent Alert first opened to the public, and throughout this time it always was a service that is free for everybody. We always were and remain true believers in the value of free service.

However, it shouldn't be surprise for anybody familiar with this industry that running a website, especially a popular site like this one, is associated with some expenses in terms of time and money.

We hope to offset expenses for Patent Alert development, support, maintenance and hosting and insure future existence of it as a free service. Therefore we have created a new, fee-based option to deliver patent application documents.
