An ink composition is provided that includes a compound represented by Formula (I) or (II). ##STR00001## (In Formulae (I) and (II), R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 independently denote a monovalent substituent, R.sup.3 to R.sup.6 independently denote a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, n denotes an integer of 0 to 5, and n' denotes an integer of 0 to 5; n and n' are not both 0, when n is 2 or greater a plurality of R.sup.1s may be identical to or different from each other, and when n' is 2 or greater a plurality of R.sup.2s may be identical to or different from each other.) There are also provided an inkjet recording method employing the ink composition, and a process for producing a lithographic printing plate, the process including discharging the ink composition onto a hydrophilic support. A printed material and a lithographic printing plate thus obtained are also included in the present invention.
