The driving circuit for an electro-optical device includes a shift register that has stages each of which generates transfer signals for defining writing timing and sequentially outputs the transfer signals from the respective stages, a precharge supply line that supplies a precharge timing signal for defining precharge timing ahead of the writing timing, and a data line circuit that receives the timing signal, shapes the timing signal on the basis of at least the transfer signal, and drives the plurality of data lines according to the timing signal.
