A new and distinct, self rooted, variety of grapevine plant, `Crimson Cabernet`, from a cross of `Cabernet Sauvignon` and `Norton`, which can be distinguished by its outstanding wine combined with high productivity, disease resistance, and cold hardiness superior to one of its two acclaimed parents `Cabernet Sauvignon`.
