There are disclosed an electrophotographic toner including a compound represented by formula (1) and a compound represented by formula (2). ##STR00001## In Formula (1), R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an aromatic group, and X.sup.- represents a molybdate anion or a tungstate anion. In Formula (2), R.sub.5.sup.+ and R.sub.6.sup.+ each independently represent a hydrogen ion, an ammonium ion, an iminium ion, or a phosphonium ion, and R.sup.7, R.sup.8, R.sup.9, R.sup.10, R.sup.11, R.sup.12, R.sup.13, and R.sup.14 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group.
