The invention relates to new substituted imidazoles of general formula ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 and X are defined as in the claims, the tautomers, the enantiomers, the diastereomers, the mixtures thereof and the salts thereof, and processes for preparing them and their use as intermediates for preparing pharmaceutical compositions or pesticides.
