Substituted aminopolyorganosiloxanes (S.sub.H) containing substituted amino groups which are bonded to silicon atoms of the polysiloxane skeleton via alkylene bridges or mono- or oligo-(alkyleneamino)alkylene bridges, in which the amino groups occurring in the aminopolyorganosiloxanes are substituted at least in part with a radical of the formula T--CH.sub.2--CHOH--CH.sub.2-- (.epsilon.), in which T signifies the radical of a surfactant monoalcohol polyglycol ether having an emulsifier character, in an average ratio of at least 1.5 radicals of the formula (.epsilon.) per Si-bonded aminoalkyl group or amino-mono- or -oligo-(alkyleneamino)-alkyl group, and for the remaining part optionally are at least in part acylated to amide groups or optionally are at least in part alkylated and/or benzylated, and basic amino groups optionally are protonated, aqueous compositions (W.sub.SH) thereof, their production and use, particularly for the softening finishing of fibrous material, and detergent or softening agent compositions for domestic laundry comprising them.
