When the operation mode is set to the power-saving mode, the power controller changes the operation mode from the power-saving mode to the power-saving print mode without changing the operation mode from the power-saving mode to the normal standby mode after the user has been authenticated and before the printer performs printing, and the power controller returns the operation mode from the power-saving print mode to the power-saving mode after the printer has performed the printing.
