The invention concerns the combination of a short-acting hypnotic agent and a compound of formula (I): ##STR00001## Wherein X, Y, Z, A, B, D, Ar, R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are as defined herein. The combination of this invention is useful in treating a variety of sleep disorders.
