The present invention refers to compounds of formula I ##STR00001## as precursors for a ketone of formula II, ##STR00002## an aldehyde or ketone of formula III, and an aldehyde or ketone of formula IV, ##STR00003## These compounds are useful in perfumery, especially in the fine and functional perfumery.
