Methods and related apparatuses and mixtures are described for
chromatographic analysis. The described system includes a pressurized
source of a mobile phase and a flow path in fluid communication with the
pressurized source such that the mobile phase flows through the flow
path. The system also includes an injector in fluid communication with
the flow path and downstream of the pressurized source, the injector
being configured to inject a sample into the flow path. A first column
located downstream of the injector, contains a stationary phase, and
forms part of the flow path. A first detector is positioned to detect
properties of fluid in the flow path at a location downstream of the
injector and upstream from the first column. A second detector is
positioned to detect properties of fluid in the flow path at a location
downstream of the first column.
