The present invention relates to a method of bonding a fluoropolymer layer to a silicone layer by (i) providing a fluoropolymer layer comprising a fluoropolymer capable of being dehydrofluorinated (ii) providing a silicone layer comprising a curable silicone composition comprising (a) an organopolysiloxane compound having SiH groups, (b) an organopolysiloxane compound having aliphatic carbon-carbon unsaturated bonds, (c) a hydrosilylation catalyst and (d) an amino compound having (1) an amine function of the formula --NHR wherein R is hydrogen or an organic group and (2) a silyl group of the formula --SiR.sup.1.sub.n(OR.sup.2).sub.3--n wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl or aryl group, R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group of 2 to 6 carbon atoms and n is 1 or 2 and (iii) contacting said silicone layer and said fluoropolymer layer and causing said curable silicone composition of said silicone layer to cure.
