The invention relates to compounds of formula (I): ##STR00001## and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and pharmaceutically acceptable esters thereof, wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, A, m, n and p are defined as in claim 1. These compounds can be used as pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of, for example, diabetes.
