The inner sheet (4) is thermally protected by an outer layer (5,6). Also disclosed is packaging (7) of compostable material that is adapted to cover food products (8), which includes a mesh (3) of compostable material that is adapted to come into contact with the food products (8); and at least one strip (1) as described above. The packaging (7) takes the form of a single sheet (14) or a bag (10) with a flexible tubular mesh body (9) of compostable material that can be heat-sealed to strips (1).
