The present invention is directed to a pneumatic tire comprising at least one component, the at least component comprising a rubber composition, the rubber composition comprising a diene based elastomer and an oxirane resin of formula I ##STR00001## wherein R is a hydrocarbyl group and n.sub.1 through n.sub.l each represent 0 or an integer of from 1 to 100 and the sum of the integers represented by n.sub.1 through n.sub.l is from 1 to 100.
