The exemplary gear may have a foot portion adapted to receive a foot of a user and a lateral fin extended from the foot portion in a direction away from the heel opposite a toe of the foot. One or more rear side fins may extend from a side edge of the lateral fin to the foot portion in a plane that intersects the lateral fin the foot portion. Embodiments may incorporate additional side fins and extension fins as well as other aspects.
