In order to allow for an optimal utilization of the working surfaces of the sonotrode, it is proposed to move or mount the sonotrode in a desired position with respect to the element that connects the ultrasonic welding machine to the sonotrode by rotating the sonotrode around its longitudinal axis as well as a transverse axis running perpendicular thereto.
