Disclosed is a phase change ink composition comprising a phase change ink carrier and a colorant compound of the formula ##STR00001## or mixtures thereof, wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, M, A, E, G, J, m, n, and p are as defined herein.
